‘Candy’ Video shoot
Kim was in the UK for Got To Dance in last month and during that time she also shot the video for “Candy” with UK artist, Aggro Santos. Arriving mid-afternoon at the video shoot, I saw that Kim was shooting part of the video against a back-drop of graffiti. While the cameras were rolling on Kim, one of the camera crew in the room hinted to me that that the water fight scene later on would involve not water, but paint! After Kim shot the part they were filming, Kim and Aggro were interviewed about the song and video.
During the more extras arrived to be apart of the video and later in the evening, we started shooting the ‘club scene.’ At first, Kim and Aggro were on stage performing while we acted as a crowd at a gig going dancing and going wild! The Director wanted us to go through the scene a few times, so we all definitely had to give alot of energy and dance! While on stage Kim had a water gun full of paint which at one point she sprayed at the camera. Those who visit Kim’s website, Beautiful Movements may notice that one of Kim’s drawings of the stick man with the star was created as a necklace for the video which she wore. Pictured below: Paint used for paintfight scene and Kim with fan, Iain.
After about half an hour it was time to shoot the waterfight/paint scene! At the side of the room were waterballons filled with luminous paint which glows in the dark, alot of us put some on our faces and arms and equipped with waterguns it was organised chaos and so much fun! Kim and Aggro watched us all having a paint fight and in the last scene, Aggro joined in. Aside from the photos posted in this blog entry, Kim had other outfit changes earlier in the day which of course we’ll get to see in the video! Kim will be back in the UK for promo in April!

Review: Got To Dance – THE FINAL

Pictured: Ashley, Kimberly and Adam applauding Akai (inset: Judges and Davina McCall with Akai)
Got To Dance has reached its end and the public have chosen their winner – Congratulations to Akai!!!!
The finalists were: Emily, MJ Latin, The Box, Jukebox Juniors, Matthew Koon and Akai. With the final show half an hour longer the three acts with the highest votes would go through to dance again and be crowned the winner. You could feel the excitement and nerves in the studio just before Davina confirmed that the acts with the highest votes who were Jukebox Juniors, The Box and Akai. Matthew Koon had been a favourite for Kimberly and although he didn’t make it to last round, it was good to see that incorporated a prop stage piece into his performance.
Jukebox Juniors, The Box and Akai performed the same routine from the semi-finals to try and seal their place as the winner. Judge Ashley Banjo performed with his group Diversity on the night, and while Diversity’s performance was being broadcasted, the public were phoning in. When voting lines closed, the three dance acts lined up on stage to find out who would become the Got To Dance winner, the judges holding hands for a moment at the judging panel, friends and family looking on proudly at their son, daughter or sibling from their seats. After what seemed an endless pause, Davina confirmed that 10-year old, Akai was the Got to Dance winner 2010 (not forgetting that he’d also won £100,000)!

Got To Dance has been so much fun to see recorded at some of the auditions and Live shows, we can only hope Got To Dance will return to our screens with Kimberly as judge again! Below are pics of Kimberly in the studio and meeting Got To Dance fans, check them out!

Review and Pics: “Candy” Video Shoot

Below is a review and pics from Stephen, who was at the “Candy” (Aggro Santos ft.Kimberly Wyatt) video shoot this week!

Ok so i went down to the shoot of Kimberly Wyatt’s new music video on tuesday that was being shot in London’s London Bridge area. And aswell as meeting all the lead dancers and meeting Kimberly herself, i got to be in the video! Obviously it could be edited in any way, but to my knowledge i have quite a big part! The video is being shot in all blue light neon colours, and at the end there is a big neon water fight! and i got chosen to be the 1 who starts the water fight off!
This is how it happens:
Im right in the camera, and then i get hit with a water bomb (which will look like kimberly threw it at me) then i look down, lift my top up, pull a water pistol out my jeans and start off this big water fight! haha
I also got given a neon hat by the stylist so im gonna stand out so you will all see me when the video is released!
